dc.description.abstractThe report describes the design of the bridge girder with calculation of cross-section properties. There are two types of cross section along the bridge. Type 1 is used in the cable stayed bridge and in the lower part of the floating bridge, and type 2 is used in the high part of the floating bridge. The difference between these two types are the plate thickness in the stiffeners. All sections are reinforced with additional longitudinal bulkheads at column supports. In addition, the bridge girder ends are reinforced gradually the last about 56 meters at both abutments north and south. At these bridge ends, the reinforcement allows for full yielding with plastic hinges. This gives a robust design for overload.en_US
